In this project I was required to create a concept board and floor plan for an existing room that needed to be remodeled. The client asked for a modern farmhouse aesthetic and required finishes that were pet-friendly.
 

My design choices were geared towards earthy tones and rustic finishes to create the cozy atmosphere to mimic the modern farmhouse aesthetic that was requested in the space. I achieved this design by creating a cohesive color palette of neutral, muted tones with some contrasting textures. The sheer window treatments created an ambiance of diffused light that illuminated the space while bounced light off of the white walls. The neutral warm aesthetic is accomplished through the use of muted earthy tones and natural wood finishes, along with decorative items that stylize the space and elevate the overall design.

The textile finishes were chosen to be easily maintained, from the machine washable area rug to the stain, scratch, and mildew resistant, fabric sectional.
